24th August 2022.  Price increases

Due to the increase in the cost of operating and maintaining the Hall, the prices for hiring the Hall is being increased from 1 September.  The new prices are under the ‘Rooms & Pricing’ tab on this website.

1st April 2022.  BMHA responsible for Hall management

From today the Bentley Memorial Hall Association (BMHA) is responsible for the management of the Memorial Hall.  However, there are no changes to the day-to-day operations of the Hall and all future bookings are still valid.  The standard Terms and Conditions are unchanged other than to reflect the change from BCA to BMHA.

6th August 2021.  Clothes Recycling Bank

A Clothes Recycling Bank to assist the Hampshire Air Ambulance is now located in the Memorial Hall car park.

19th July 2021.  Hall is now fully open

As the vast majority of government lockdown related restrictions have been lifted, the Hall is now available 'Business as Usual'.  The COVID related terms and conditions have been updated appropriately - see page 4 of the Terms and Conditions document via the Bookings Tab.

31st March 2021.  BCA Dissolution - All Members Meeting on 27th April

All residents of Bentley village are invited to a meeting to agree the dissolution of the Bentley Community Association (BCA) charity and to thus allow the newly created Bentley Memorial Hall Association (BMHA) to manage the Hall.  The meeting will be held on-line and you must register so you can recieve details of how to access the meeting.  Further details, including details of how to register and a preamble of why the BCA charity is being replaced are here.

7th January 2021.  Lockdown - Latest

Due to the national lockdown, all activities, except the Dottie Tots nursery, are suspended until further notice.  We will contact our regular users individually when the lockdown restrictions start to ease.

2nd December 2020.  Report and accounts for year ending March 2020

The Bentley Community Association report and accounts for the year ending March 2020 are available here and here.

30th November 2020.  Lockdown - Latest

Bentley is in Tier 2, as defined by the latest Government Regulations.  This means that non-contact indoor sports and organised exercise is allowed providing there is no mixing between social bubbles.  This means sessions of non-contact sports (Badminton and Table Tennis) and non-contact organised exercise (Yoga, Pilates, etc) can now take place in the Hall.

5th November 2020.  Lockdown - Latest

Following the updated government regulations related to Lockdown, all activities in the Hall except the Dottie Tots nursery have been cancelled.  The situation will be reviewed when government regulations change, currently expected to be on 2nd December.

 
27th August 2020.  COVID-19 - Latest

The Memorial Hall is now open for some activities, as determined by Government guidelines.

However, large gatherings and contact sports are still not allowed.  We are constantly monitoring government guidance and we will re-open for other events as soon as we are advised it is acceptable to do so.
