5th May 2025.  Price increases

Due to the increase in the cost of operating and maintaining the Hall, the prices for hiring the Hall are being increased from 1 June by approximately 10%.  This is the first price increase for nearly two years.  The new prices are reflected in the ‘Rooms & Pricing’ tab on this website.

12th March 2024.  Hall Closed 4th and 5th April

All downstairs areas of the Hall, including the entrance lobby and the kitchen, will be closed for two to three days from 4th April.  This is for essential maintenance.  It is hoped the work will be completed within 2 days (i.e. the Thursday and Friday).  However, if the work runs into a third day, Saturday Café for the 6th April will be cancelled at short notice.  The Hugh Barton Room upstairs can continue to be used, providing access is only from the back entrance and no one goes downstairs.

22nd September 2023.  Relaunch of 100+ Club

Our popular 100+ Club is being relaunched today allowing anyone to support the Memorial Hall through regular giving with a chance of winning prizes every month.  See here for more details.

25th August 2022.  Bouncy castles no longer allowed in the Hall

With immediate effect, bouncy castles and other similar inflatable devices are no longer allowed to be erected in the Hall.  This is because the Hall’s insurance does not cover the use of such devices.  The Terms and Conditions, which can be viewed via the ‘Rooms & Pricing’ tab on this website, have been updated.
